When relocating and designing their new space, Destree Design Architects selected Meso as a partner because of the elevated aesthetic that Meso could provide by utilizing Falkbuilt glass fronts, as well as our ability to meet their timeline and budget. Destree’s new workplace encompasses 4100 square feet of design studio space, offices, meeting, and collaboration spaces on the third floor of a new building in downtown Madison, Wisconsin.
Falkbuilt Kai glass fronts allowed Meso to maximize the glass size accommodated within the frames, giving Destree as much natural light transfer as possible. The extra-large glass panes were lifted by crane from ground level to the third-floor space.
“I was most impressed by the Meso team’s dedication. They not only offered an extensive product range but also proactively worked to understand our unique requirements and identify the optimal solution.”

Narrow-framed doors were used throughout – glass sliding doors with soft closing mechanisms, and butt-hinged doors with concealed closers and drop seals for acoustical privacy. All doors have 24” bar pulls, with applied 2.5” muntins for the clerestory to minimize the glass breaks in the 10’ high panes.
To continue the aesthetic and maximum light transfer, Destree utilized the same Kai glass fronts for the front entry into their suite. Meso and Falkbuilt were able to incorporate unique secure entrance hardware to coordinate with the building standard.
“As an architecture firm, when we decided to install Meso’s product within our own office, our expectations were naturally very high. Meso successfully met those expectations by providing an all-in-one solution—encompassing frames, track, and hardware—that is not only attractive but also performs exceptionally well acoustically.”
